Construction begins on 1st hotel at Metropark Square in Shenandoah

Another element in the completion of Metropark Square, the 69-acre mixed-use development in Shenandoah, is underway. The Sam Moon Group, whose officials are developing the space, announced late last week that construction has begun on the area’s first hotel, Hyatt House.

Set to open next November, the five-story hotel is to have almost 150 rooms. Shane Williams, the group’s vice president of construction, said the accommodations are geared toward the business traveler.

Metropark Square celebrates opening

After two years of development, Metropark Square welcomed its first tenant when an AMC Theatre opened March 1.

Work on the 69-acre, mixed-use development project began in April 2016, according to Daniel Moon, vice president of Sam Moon Group, the development company. However, the permit was not approved until September 2018 because of delays caused by flooding from Hurricane Harvey, after which Moon said construction advanced quickly.

New 69-Acre Mixed Use Entertainment Center Looks to Shake Up The Woodlands Area

Along-awaited, much-hyped mix-used development MetroPark Square is getting ready to mix it up. The district in Shenandoah, north of Houston near The Woodlands, will officially open this March. Dave & Buster's coming to The Woodlands area

Sam Moon Group has announced that the highly popular, Dallas-based entertainment, food and beverage venue, Dave & Buster’s, has signed a lease at Metropark Square in Shenandoah, TX.

Serving as an anchor to the mixed-use development, Dave & Buster’s will occupy approximately 40,000 square-feet of the 175,000 square foot entertainment and dining destination, located on Interstate-45 in The Woodlands trade area.
